App Use Definition:
This is filed anytime a driver fails to use the app to mark task completion times or complete tasks such as signature, setup photo, and marking to start the job 30 minutes before the pickup time. Also filed in any situation where drivers mark false timestamps and do not immediately communicate the mistake to dispatch.
Importance of communication on the DeliverThat Platform:
DeliverThat as a platform is built on communication from its drivers, in-house staff, and restaurants. This is the number one factor in executing a smooth and successful delivery process. We strive to provide restaurants and drivers the best live delivery support nationwide. To ensure this, steps must be taken on the driver's end to avoid calls/texts and alleviate any initial issues on the road.
Guidelines for App Use:
- Mark yourself available in the application 45 minutes before the delivery pickup time
- Marking the delivery underway (Slide to start the job) 30 minutes before the pickup
- Swiping through steps correctly to ensure the delivery process
- Obtaining signatures at the pickup location and setup pictures at the drop-off location
Impacts of Inaccurate or Lack of App Use:
DeliverThat's App Use policy may include up to a 50% charge of any refund over $40, totaling up to $100 for the driver. The impacts of accurate app use can be very far-reaching. Restaurants depend on DeliverThat to deliver high-value orders to repeat customers, who often do not return if their orders are not delivered correctly. This can impact future business to the restaurant, future deliveries sent to DeliverThat, and ultimately future deliveries to the drivers in your area.
The DeliverThat dispatch team and restaurants monitor live deliveries. Failure to correctly mark the app may result in frequent unnecessary communication from all parties.
What to do if you have an app use incident on file:
We understand life happens, and factors outside of your control can impact your ability to complete a delivery. Should you have a scenario where this occurs, please make sure you document your situation. When you receive your email for your violation, you can respond to us immediately with your reasons why this happened and the documentation.
If you have deductions processing that you believe are unwarranted, please email driver@ideliverthat.com within 24 hours of receiving your notice.
