Types of Deliveries

There are three different type of deliveries you may see available on the DeliverThat platform, pre-scheduled catering, same-day catering, route-based, and grocery. Each type has similarities and differences associated. Please read below for more information.

Pre-Scheduled Catering:

Pre-scheduled catering makes up the majority of the deliveries you'll have access to. These are the orders that are submitted to us with ample notice, days or weeks in advance. These deliveries require a business casual attire and also must be completed with a buffet style setup (if preferred by the customer). 

Same day / On Demand Catering:

Same day orders come in with little lead time, sometimes with 30 or 45 minutes notice. These orders may route well with your previously accepted deliveries. Like pre-scheduled catering deliveries, these orders also must be completed with a buffet style setup (if preffered by the customer).

Route Based Deliveries:

Route based deliveries typically range from pre-packaged meals to meal kits. As a driver, you would arrive to a restaurant to pick up multiple orders at once, with multiple drop off locations. Normally, we will have a time window to successfully execute each drop off. These drop offs typically do not require a setup either, as they are usually smaller personal orders getting delivered to each stop. You will be provided the drop off information for each stop from the restaurants when they pick up the orders and will also be able to locate the drop off addresses in their app under the 'Special Delivery Instructions'. You will not see all of the drop off points on the Vromo map, just the pick up point.

Grocery Deliveries:

Grocery deliveries can be very similar to the route based deliveries. As a driver, you can pickup multiple drops, or just a single drop from the store, and will have a time that all orders need to be to delivered by. These orders also do not require a setup as the drop off instructions are to call the customer upon arrival and leave the bags on the porch.
