Driver Earnings
Driver Earnings represent the total amount a driver gets paid for a given delivery. Driver Earnings includes gratuities, mileage, incentives, adjustments, and commissions from deliveries.
In the Driver App:
When you are viewing an offer or job in the Driver App, the Driver Earnings will be displayed as an estimate. Your Driver Earnings are subject to change, such as for post-delivery gratuity or adjustments. The Driver app is updated after Driver Earnings are finalized. The Driver Earnings numbers in the app will update and reflect the final values.
When can you expect to receive your Driver Earnings deposits?
Currently, drivers are paid twice weekly, on Wednesdays and Fridays, unless conflicting with U.S. federal holidays. There are two Driver Earnings Periods within the week:
- Deliveries Monday through Wednesday: Paid on Friday

Deliveries Thursday through Sunday: Paid on Wednesday
Commissions
Commissions are the sum of base commission, mileage commission, adjustments, incentives, and other components. Commissions do not include gratuity. Adjustments and incentives can occur from excess mileage, wait time, and more.
Gratuity
Gratuity is additional money given to the driver for the quality of services performed. 100% of gratuity is passed to the driver. DeliverThat does not keep any portion of driver gratuity.
There are 3 types of gratuity on the DeliverThat platform:
- Pre-Delivery Gratuity
- Post-Delivery Gratuity
- Base Gratuity (ezCater orders only)
Pre-Delivery Gratuity
Pre-deliver gratuity, also known as pre-authorized gratuity, is given before the delivery takes place. If the order has any pre-delivery gratuity, you can see that within the app under “Driver Earnings Summary.”
Post-Delivery Gratuity
Post-delivery gratuity is given after the delivery is completed. This can occur when the driver is required to collect a signature for the order and the customer adds a tip to the receipt. Drivers must submit their receipt in the Gratuity & Toll Reimbursement form to receive their post-delivery gratuity.
In order to receive post-delivery gratuity, drivers must submit the Gratuity & Toll Reimbursement form (can also be found within the Driver App) to our team for approval. All post-delivery gratuity requests must be submitted the same day as the delivery. You will receive approved post-delivery gratuity in your next earnings deposit.
Is it possible to receive pre-delivery and post-delivery gratuity in one order?
Some merchants allow their customers to leave gratuity before and after the delivery, so there may be instances where you could receive both! If pre-delivery gratuity has been determined on your order, it will be shown under "Gratuity” in the Driver App.
Gratuity for ezCater Orders
As always, 100% of the gratuities go to our drivers. DeliverThat and ezCater do not keep any portion of the gratuities collected. Gratuities for ezCater orders are pre-authorized, meaning the gratuity amount is determined before our drivers deliver and set up the order.
To ensure our drivers are fairly compensated for their hard work and to cover orders where no pre-delivery gratuity was added by the customer, we have established a base gratuity relative to the total order value of the ezCater delivery. Your gratuity and total earnings will be clearly disclosed within the app order details.
- For any ezCater deliveries on or after October 14, 2024, gratuities will be pre-authorized (pre-delivery), meaning the gratuity amount is determined before our drivers deliver and set up the order.

Orders with pre-delivery gratuity on ezCater orders will receive the pre-delivery gratuity determined by the customer, you will no longer receive the ezCater tip pool amount.
- Orders without pre-delivery gratuity on ezCater orders will receive a base gratuity relative to the total order value of the delivery.

Orders with pre-delivery gratuity on ezCater orders will receive the pre-delivery gratuity determined by the customer, you will no longer receive the ezCater tip pool amount.

* Order Total is the total amount a customer pays in USD, excluding any driver gratuity and taxes.
** Drivers will only receive base gratuity earnings on ezCater orders without pre-delivery gratuity determined.
How do you know how much gratuity you’ll receive on ezCater orders?
- It will be disclosed under the “Driver Earnings Disclaimer” in the Driver App.
- The Job Name begins with “ezCater_”
Large Orders
Orders of $1,000 USD or greater are classified as “Large Orders” and may require additional drivers to complete the delivery. If multiple drivers complete the delivery, total Driver Earnings are evenly divided among the participating drivers. The amount displayed in the Driver App under Driver Earnings is your portion of the earnings.
- Large Orders with multiple drivers assigned will evenly split the Driver Earnings, this includes gratuity and commissions.
- For Large Order ezCater deliveries, each driver assigned to the delivery will split gratuity evenly.
- Large Orders do not always have multiple drivers assigned.
Toll Reimbursement
You may need to use toll roads to complete your deliveries. To be eligible for a toll reimbursement, tolls must be incurred while completing a delivery from pickup to drop-off.
Toll reimbursement forms must be submitted on the same day of delivery.
How to request toll reimbursement:

- Include a picture of your toll receipt or statement in the request.
- If neither is currently available, submit a screenshot of your route taken with the required tolls.
- Provide the Job Name (which can be found in the driver app) and the delivery date.
- Include the amount you paid for tolls in the request.
- If you took multiple tolls for deliveries, submit them together under one request.
IMPORTANT: Toll reimbursement forms must be submitted the same day of the delivery.
Your request will be denied if you submit a toll reimbursement request without a photo of your receipt, statement, or screenshot of the route taken. Be sure to keep track of all your toll receipts or statements to ensure you can be reimbursed.

I was trying to find out base pay information. Is it only known after accepting a job? Not very helpful to make a decision not knowing anything about pay unless you accept a job first. Is that the case?
No I have not received any money for any trips
